This is a mandatory meeting for juniors and seniors who are seriously considering application to medical, dental, podiatry, optometry or veterinary schools in the Spring 2027. We will review the on-campus application process as well as cover the information on how to submit your official application to relevant centralized application services. We will also address some of your FAQs about the on-campus application.
Participate in this interactive training focused on substance use, mental health & violence prevention. All participants will be awarded a Workshop Certificate of Completion.
Learn about what type of activities your peers are engaging in to develop their health professions portfolio, as well as suggestions and tips for how to seek out opportunities. Two health professions students will share their experiences and advice for how best to take advantage of your opportunities.
Join us for an information session with Mr. Joel Bonnaud, the Admissions Recruiting Specialist Counselor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania College of Osteopathic Medicine (IUPCOM), who will discuss the admissions process for their brand-new Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program. You will also have an opportunity to engage in a brief Q&A session.
Professors Adam Biener (Economics), Kirk O’Riordan (Music), and Peter Gildenhuys (Philosophy) will join us for a conversation about courses that will help you meet your Humanities and Social Science competency, enrich your health professions school application, and reflect your liberal arts learning.
In this session, we will offer guidance on how you can strengthen your application materials for health professions school. We will provide tips on writing your HP CV, personal information form (PIF), and on capturing your skills and competencies. We will also provide templates on how you can approach asking for letters of recommendation. This is Session 1 of 2 sessions HP Advising will offer so you can tackle getting ready to apply with strength. All HP students are welcome to attend.
Interested in gaining meaningful volunteer experience in a healthcare setting? Join us to learn more about the College Volunteer Program, administered by St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN). The session will provide an overview of available volunteer opportunities, program expectations, and the onboarding process, including the steps you need to take to get started.
In this virtual program, we will be joined by our alumni guests, Ava Oliphant ’27 and Vincent Demaria’26, who will shed some light for us on what preparation for an entrance test like MCAT and DAT might entail. They will go over the exam’s content & structure, study plan, test scheduling, effective studying strategies, helpful resources and more!
Join us for one of the two sessions to prepare for the MMI interview style format by practicing sample questions. Five virtual stations will be set up for you on Zoom. After the mock interview, you will be evaluated on your ability to express your ideas in a structured and organized way, articulate all sides of an issue, ethical reasoning, and ability to think fast on your feet.
At this meeting, we will go over the elements of the GreenSheet advising form, which is designed to provide an opportunity for students to honestly assess their developing profile as prospective applicants. We will also take a deeper dive into holistic review, what it means, and how it affects the admissions review process. This is the last session in our series that will help you to tackle getting ready to apply with strength.

What happens after medical school? Join us for a conversation with our alumni guests, who will introduce us to the next stage of a physician’s training: residency. Through their personal experiences, we’ll explore how residency differs from medical school, what influenced their choice of specialty, and what their typical day as a resident looks like. We’ll also discuss the challenges and opportunities that come with residency and what you can expect when you embark on this stage of your medical training.

You will also be introduced to the key information on the prerequisite coursework so you can plan your studies and experiences as you prepare you for your application to health professions school in the future.
