Mission

The  Health Professions Program provides guidance and resources to students at any stage of their undergraduate studies interested in health profession careers. Working closely with faculty, alumni, and Career Services, the Office of the Dean of the College and the Health Professions Advisory Committee provides programming designed to help students learn more about health care issues and health professions careers.

So, you want to be a doctor, dentist, veterinarian, optometrist, nurse, etc?! Congratulations! You will be entering a noble and sorely needed profession.

But did you know that you can become a healthcare professional without being a science major? Well, you can. In fact, you may graduate with any major or minor offered at Lafayette College including English, music, philosophy, economics, government and law as well as the more traditional science and engineering majors. However, you still need to take certain courses in order to attend a health professions school upon graduating from Lafayette.
